The Council is seeking an innovative person with a demonstrated track record of successful leadership and the ability to provide accurate and timely advice to our elected members on all governance the commercial issues. Council has a strong focus on the community and the natural environment as well as working towards being a recognized leader in corporate and social accountability.
About this Opportunity
Whilst is not essential for applicants to come from a local government environment, it is necessary to demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply the many legislative obligations placed on the position and the Council. Senior management experience is essential and a relevant tertiary qualification is also required. The Shire has very capable staff ready to assist the incumbent to further achieve significant progress in Council's strategic direction. The initial term of the contract is 3 years.
